After School Science Academy

The Mother Nature Science Academy allows children to explore, investigate and discover the core subject ‘Science’ in a stimulating learning environment. It allows pupils to work together and explore many different ideas and activities.

These programmes take place in schools or daycare centres, outside regular school hours but during the school term. Children enrol for the full 10 week term of weekly one-hour sessions that are delivered before or after regular school hours. This is a great alternative to the other after/before school clubs (e.g. football, art, music… etc.).

The Science Academy is designed to motivate and build confidence in children who struggle with Science or find it unnecessarily intimidating, and provide an extra outlet for children who already show aptitude and are interested in furthering their learning.

Although the sessions complement the curriculum, they are not designed to be about writing, tests, or exams. Activities involve practical experiments, investigation, discussion and reflection. Most of all, they are designed to be fun! During each exciting session, children engage in hands-on activities that explore a wide variety of scientific topics that are as entertaining as they are educational. In nearly all the sessions, pupils will have their own set of equipment/material and get to build an item that they can take home to proudly show friends and family.

Our Science Academy is never the cheapest club in school, but we are always the most innovative, inspiring and are great value for money. Please take a look some of the feedback about the club that we have received from schools and parents.

“The enthusiasm of the Instructors is excellent and does inspire the children - who have already had a long day. The topics also build on the work covered in school”

Mr. Bendall (Science Coordinator), Grange Middle School

Over the past 23 years we have developed over 200+ sessions of interactive and entertaining science programs for 4-12 year old pupils. For your reference, the topics listed here have already been made available in the UK.

At present the Science Academy can run for 6 consecutive school terms (2 years) without repeating a single topic!
