'Science Day'
Workshops at your school

Our science workshops are equivalent to in class science field trips and are especially popular with schools during their science week. We have workshop topics to cover all specific aspects of the primary science curriculum and our instructors bring in specialist equipment that they use to aid enquiry based learning. It’s like a trip to a Science Museum but without needing to hire a coach or get parent helpers. Whilst most of our workshops are purely education based and an hour per class to deliver we also have the special ‘Science Day’ which contains fun science topics that  can be delivered in 30 minutes each  and ensure pupils run to their next science session.

These 30-45 minutes sessions are designed to entertain a large group of children with spectacular science demonstrations and discussions to inspire their curiosity and imagination on science. This camp will be unlike any other! In celebration of the London Olympics 2012 we will be taking the children through numerous different sporting events by looking at the science behind them. Our action packed days range from understanding how and why Olympians prepare their bodies the way they do, to having a go at numerous Olympic events on our last day. Rest assured this will not be a sports camp but the kids will be hands-on creating their own take homes every day, from making mini submarines and boats in our investigative “Liquid Sports” day to looking at forces, and friction affecting our bodies and the instruments used in the Olympic Games. 

Let your kids get in the front row seats discovering the secrets behind sports in this action packed week of sport inspiring science!

Camps are open to children aged 5 years to 12 years old.

Safety & Security
Ensuring every Child’s safety and security is our top priority. All our staff have passed an enhanced police check by the Criminal Record Bureau (CRB). We risk-assess every experiment and activity, and fully train the instructors who deliver the sessions. We also run a strict signing-in/out policy so that only persons nominated by you are permitted to collect your child. There will be a maximum staff to child ratio of 1:8 to ensure the highest possible standards.

Food & Refreshment
Children need to bring their own packed lunch, mid-session snack and drinks bottle. We have a no sharing food policy. We respectfully ask for nut products (such as peanut butter, Nutella and bags of nuts) not to be placed in pack lunches.

Clothing & Equipment
All equipment will be provided. Campers should wear appropriate clothing for indoor and outdoor activities.
