Congratulations! – your search to find the best Science Holiday Activity Camp provider is at an end – MN Science is the ultimate holiday mix of education, fun and indoor and outdoor science experiments and activities!
Every year the Mother Nature Science Camp inspires thousands of budding scientists, ages 5- 12 years, during the Summer, Easter and Christmas school Holidays and even the half-term breaks at premium Partner School Venues.
We ensure children ‘get ahead in science’ during the holidays with action packed programmes of hands-on activities exploring a spectacular array of scientific themes and topics.
Parents can book for a premium Science Activity Week, each is filled with fun Chemistry, Biology and Physics demonstrations, games and hands-on, take-home experiments.
We have over twenty four different Science Activity Weeks meaning a child can attend for two years without repeating a single week.

A: The Camp is designed to be a week long programme – but yes you can book single days, availability permitting, by telephone.
Q: Do you split the age groups?
A: No – our camp is all about working together on science projects as a Team! It is not like a school or a Tuiton Club. We always run our camps with a tried-and-tested ‘Mixed Age Dynamic’ which works really well because it gives extra responsibility to the older children and helps stretch the younger children. Although our camps are open to kids aged 5-12 the majority of children tend to be aged 5 and 10.
Q: Do you accept childcare vouchers?
A: Yes – but only at registered venues – please see this page for an up to date venue list and childcare voucher providers we are registered with and to obtain your code.
To pay with childcare vouchers: just enrol normally using the online form (and choose ‘BACS’ at checkout) or directly by telephone. This will give you the amount you need to transfer from your childcare voucher account and a payment reference so we can track it. Use the code provided next to your employers chosen Provider to find us.
Q: What is the Child to Instructor Classroom Ratio?
A: We always operate on a 1- 10 Professor to Child ratio. There is always a minimum of 2 Professors on site at all times. We have one main presenter and an assistant who is there especially to look after the younger children. During term time most of our presenters run after school science clubs so are well used to working with children of that age.
Q: What is the maximum class size?
20-25 – Venue Classroom dependent.
Q: Who teaches the activities?
A: All our specially trained MNS Professors have experience teaching children in after-school clubs and camps. All have enhanced DBS checks.

A: Yes – we try to be outside as much as possible – esp. when the weather is beautiful.
Q: Where do I Book?
A: Click Here and select Holiday Camp, as you are entering child details you will need to register an account to keep your details secure.
Q: What Safety Standards do you have in place?
A: Ensuring every Child’s safety and security is our top priority. All our staff have passed an enhanced police check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). We risk-assess every experiment and activity, and fully train the instructors who deliver the sessions. We also run a strict signing-in/out policy so that only persons nominated by you are permitted to collect your child.
Q: Do you provide food or refreshments?
A: No. but we do provide mineral water free of charge to keep them hydrated during the day. Children need to bring their own packed lunch, mid-session snack and drinks bottle. We have a no sharing food policy. We respectfully ask for nut products (such as peanut butter, Nutella and bags of nuts) not to be placed in pack lunches.
Q: What clothing and equipment does my child need to bring?
A: All equipment will be provided. Campers should wear appropriate clothing for indoor and outdoor activities.
Q: What topics are you running in that week? And what is involved?
A: Each week has a mix of fun and hands on science across Chemistry, Biology and Physics –Science Forces, Science Explorer, Science Factory and Science Academy etc, these are just names we give to our programme weeks. We always start by introducing the topic then have some fun demonstrations and hands on activity where the children can make something to take home; we also provide parent handouts so you can see what they have done during the day.
Q: Do you do a free trial sessions – My child is very shy?
A: No. this is a common concern from parents but from our experience you have nothing to worry about. we always have an assistant who is there to look after the younger children and most children come back to our camps year after year. You can book for a single day by request.
Q: Do you offer group discounts?
A: Yes – and this can even be combined with the early booking discount – we reward parents who book well in advance and multiple weeks, children and siblings.
Q: Do you accept International / Overseas Pupils?
A: Yes – we are happy to accept overseas pupils as long as they have a good understanding of English.
Q: Do you accept children with special needs?
A: Yes – but it depends on the severity. If your child requires 1:1 support at school – you will need to provide your own SEN support person for your child at the camp. We require their DBS certificate and proof of identity before the start of camp.
